That's great news that y'all have plans for this.
I love Har-Bal and it's almost perfect for me. There's just a few little things like this that I would recommend, and this is right there at the top of my "few little things."
Actually I can only think of one. Just that. =)

Okay I've officially posted enough in one day to come across as a genuine internet weirdo! But I wanted to share one more thing that I learned that the Har-Bal marketing team *might* be able to use, to further combat any resistance to the paradigm shift of using your ears AND *eyes* in mastering EQ....

Har-Bal co-product idea: realtime VST/DX spectrograph!!!
(sorry for the barrage of posts, I promise this is my last one for tonight! :) ) In my thread "Better mixing as a result of what I learned from Har-Bal", I pointed out that I'm using a realtime spectrograph to fix problems before mixdown... before going into Har-Bal. http://www.har-bal.com...

Idea for Har-Bal marketing team
Har-Bal would be an EXCELLENT addition to the curriculum at audio engineering schools. I didn't explain it particularly well, but my work in Har-Bal taught me a LOT about sound... You know how in learning, typically you'll reach a point where you "plateau" for a while... and then you event...

Let me give an example, specifically. I had a muddy bass sound, and two parts that overlapped. I looked at the spectrograph and there was a hump between 120 and 300 if I remember right. By muting channels, I realized both the muddy parts occupied that sound space. One was a synth part. So I dialed t...

Better mixing as a result of what I learned from Har-Bal
As a result of what I've learned from using Har-Bal, my mixes are looking more and more like my intended curve before using Har-Bal! The significance of this is enormous! The less you need to alter the EQ of your final mix, the better. Obviously, right? By using my ears and eyes with Har-Bal, I lear...

My response to the non-VST announcement
I can't tell you how delighted I am to hear that the VST plans are cancelled!!! This is actually WONDERFUL news. I would *MUCH* rather the development focus to be making Har-Bal as good as it can possibly be. The VST plans just meant a lot of extra time spent to arrive at the same product in a diffe...

Just more Har-Bal praise from a new customer
I was a user of Freefilter for a long time but I was never really very happy with the product. I did some net searches and stumbled onto Har-Bal and I was just BLOWN AWAY! This is the EQ that I always dreamed would one day exist. Here are my comments about it: 1) It has one of the best interfaces of...
